HOW TO TURN YOUR BORING SOLOS INTO
JAW DROPPING WORKS OF ART

By Dylan Andrews

Have you played a guitar solo that sounded lifeless and boring?

If you answered no, then either:

  • You've never taken a guitar solo before
  • Or you're lying!

All joking aside, everyone has taken a solo that didn't sound the way we wanted it to.

The key to making your solos sound like those of your guitar heroes is mastering the art of phrasing.

Phrasing is what you can do to make a note sound more interesting. Some examples include bends, slides, vibrato, hammers-ons, etc.
